Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in “Lychee Parfait”

In experimenting with some fall colors, I’ve come across Laura Mercier’s Crème Smooth Lip Colour in “Lychee Parfait.” Not straying too far from my usual tones, “Lychee Parfait” is a neutral pink rose that is surprisingly flattering even though it’s not really that pink. The Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colours are “luxurious medium-to-full-coverage lipstick[s] that give lips the ultimate in color, texture, and finish.” It’s smooth and creamy; buildable in intensity, and looks great on the lips.

I’m new to this range of Laura Mercier lipsticks. However, because my experience with “Lychee Parfait” has been so great, I’m open to looking into other colors like “Peche” and “Antique Pink.” In addition, the formula is really nice and comfortable to wear. It’s not heavy even though it’s a medium to full coverage lipstick; and, it keeps the lips hydrated without looking too glossy or shiny. The texture is smooth even when my lips are feeling dry.

“Lychee Parfait” is a neutral pink rose and it’s a great my lip but better kind of color. It’s great for every day wear, and can be amped up at night if needbe. I like to add a light layer for a more natural look. But I also like to apply it fully with a heavier hand, as it gives my lips a plumped and fuller look. Another minor thing that really does wonder for me is that this lipstick is a fragrance-free formula, which is a nice surprise from the traditional fake-vanilla scent I find in many lip products. Because this isn’t dry, I find it easy to wear and I really recommend this lipstick and this shade!

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour – “60’s Pink”

I’m getting back into my makeup groove and have been into wearing lipstick this past week. The Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour range caught my eye and I purchased the shade “60’s Pink.” I’m totally obsessed. For sure. This is my first Laura Mercier lipstick and it’s changed my perceptions regarding lipsticks in general.

This lipstick is a “luxurious medium-to-full-coverage lipstick that gives lips the ultimate in color, texture, and finish.” It’s also fragrance-free so there’s no nasty lipstick smell!

This lipstick is highly pigmented and is intensely hydrating as well. Really, the best of both worlds. In fact, the pigment is so rich I have to dab the color onto my lips, rather than swiping it back and forth across my lips. The color is pretty — a soft, baby pink color — it’s pretty, goes with nearly any makeup look, and you can even wear it to work without looking like a porn star. The glossy shine is the best part, so you can skip gloss. And, it’s so hydrating there’s no need to layer on lip balm before applying the product. Talk about time saver. And, with less products on, you won’t feel like your lips are getting goopy as the day wears on.

All the shades in this range are all highly pigmented, so it’s worth taking a look to find a color that suits you best. I feel that “60’s Pink” is an adaptable color, so the pinker your natural lips are, the more pink this lipstick will look on your lips. The milky color is just shy of being a pinky-nude, so it gives the perfect amount a pink color to the face without having to go over board. Love. I recommend this shade.
