Top knot bun: clear elastic “no-show” hair tie + bobby pins to pin the knot onto the top of my head. I always get asked how to do this and how long it takes. It takes roughly 30 seconds (no joke) or so, because I just grab my hair in a high ponytail, swing my hair around in a circle, tie the hair tie around the knot, and then I pin the sides of the bun to the top of my head.
This works best on second-day hair. The knot doesn’t come undone with the bobby pins I use, and it does help to have a little more than shoulder-length hair. However, if you have shorter hair, you can always maintain a bun lower on your head.
Chilly weather attire:
Black legging pants (Banana Republic) – not shown
Blue long-sleeved shirt (Gap)

Going for a rather natural and no-fuss look today. I’m out of town this weekend visiting the boyfriend. Last night we went into Austin for dinner and movie. Tonight, we’re cooking dinner at home and hopefully, I will be indulging in some Chardonnay! Who knows; perhaps we’ll have some adventures today. What’s everyone doing this weekend?

Sorry for the poor quality pictures today – the phone will have to do, as I left my Canon camera at home! Boo.
