REVIEW: Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch

Normally, I don’t do much to my under-eye area and I use highlighters are my face when I remember. While I’ve dabbled in using the Maybelline DreamLumi Touch Highlighting Concealer, the YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch, and the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer, I only reach for the products when I feel that my skin really needs it.

Lately, however, I’ve been intentioanlly incorporating the Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch in shade #2 (which is the lightest shade), and I’ve been impressed with how it’s helped my skin. As a “radiance-enhancing concealer to wipe away shadows, blur imperfections, and brighten the complexion,” I’ve found that this product is a key part of my routine now.

The Giorgio Armani High Precision Retouch is a “high-precision concealer” because of its unique applicator that not only blurs imperfections, but also allegedly treats dark circles, and highlights the complexion as well. The product “contains light-reflecting pearls, which diffuse light for radiant skin.” Along with that, “Vitamin E and moisturizers pamper the delicate eye area.”

The “high-definition applicator” is unique because it’s super thin…literally like strands of hair. It’s soft and flexible, with just enough give to add the product where you want to place it. A little bit goes a long ways, so a few swipes here and there is really all you need.

I like to use this concealer under my eyes for brightness; and, while I can’t really see the benefits of anything anti-aging, it feels comfortable and nice on the under-eye area. It doesn’t smudge my eye makeup or my eyeliner, and it feels virtually undetectable on my skin so I really like that. I also use this to highlight my cheeks and it provides the most subtle lit-glow that isn’t heavy or cakey.

I recommend this concealer, even though it may not seem like it’s unnecessary. The effects of this concealer are really subtle; but, it’s a product that would be missed if you forgot to use it, I promise. It’s pricey for what it is; however, it’s a great investment and will make such a big difference for your skin.
